Explore an alternative to a conventional split air conditioning system, with product prices from £699 each for 2–4 cooling-only units. Installation and any other costs are quoted separately.
No separate outdoor box
No external condenser or interconnecting refrigerant pipework. Two exterior wall grilles are required; drainage and electrical arrangements depend on the installation.
Low-GWP R290 propane
Both monoblocks use R290, a natural propane refrigerant with a supplied GWP of 3. Installation and care must follow the model’s instructions.
High or low on the wall
The format supports high or low wall mounting, subject to suitable positioning, wall construction and the required clearances.
No routine servicing
Velaira advises that routine servicing is not required. Filter cleaning and other care still apply; follow the supplied instructions and seek support for faults.

What size room is each model recommended for?
Velaira recommends the 8,000 BTU monoblock for a room up to 5 m × 5 m (25 m²), and the 10,000 BTU monoblock for a room up to 7 m × 5 m (35 m²). Room conditions and installation suitability still need to be considered.
Which option provides heating?
The 10,000 BTU model provides heating and cooling. Its listed heating capacity is 9,000 BTU/h (2,630 W). The 8,000 BTU model is cooling only.
Are the two units different sizes?
No. Both measure 1000 × 585 × 205 mm (width × height × depth). Installation clearances and wall requirements must still be confirmed.
Are both models inverter units?
No. The supplied table identifies the 8,000 BTU model as non-inverter and the 10,000 BTU model as inverter.
Does no outdoor unit mean nothing is visible outside?
No. There is no separate outdoor condenser, but two wall openings and exterior grilles are required. Their positioning and any drainage arrangements need assessment.
Can I install it myself?
Discuss your preferred route with Velaira. Any DIY suitability depends on the final model instructions, property, electrical requirements and practical arrangements. This concept does not provide installation approval.
